Andres underwent his hepatic resection
in June! The surgeons basically took 1/2 of his liver
and removed the tumor along with it. They got "clear
margins," which means they cut about 2mm around
the tumor, hopefully not leaving any at all in his liver.
We had great nurses at UMC, especially DAVE,
and had great support from my sister and all of our
family. It was a really tough month for Andres, but
we all got through it thank God! |
